JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, SVG, or HEIC. Your photos stay on this device.

Photo info is read on this device. Nothing is uploaded.

Why look at photo info?

Use this to see when a picture was taken and what camera took it, with no extra app to install.

Also use it before you share. Many phone photos still include a map location. If that worries you, open Remove EXIF & GPS and download a copy without that info. You can also edit the date or copyright.

Screenshots and pictures saved from chat apps often have no camera info. That is normal: those apps already removed it.

How to do it

  1. Drop one or more photos. They stay on your device.
  2. Read the camera, date, and location under each file.
  3. If you need a copy without location, use Remove EXIF & GPS.

Tips

  • Phones often add a location unless camera location is turned off.
  • Saving a new JPG (convert or compress) usually removes this hidden info.
  • If the photo has GPS, a small map loads from OpenStreetMap. The photo itself is not uploaded.

FAQ

Do you upload my photo to read this?
No. The photo stays on your device. We never receive it.
Why don’t I see a location?
Many screenshots and chat apps never include one. That means this file does not have GPS. It may still have been taken at home.
Can I change the date or camera name?
You can edit date, GPS, title, author, and copyright on the edit metadata page. Camera make and model are not something we fake.
