Crop images on this device
Cut a photo to a square, a 4:5 portrait, or a wide 16:9, and drag the frame so the right part stays. The pixels you keep stay at their original size. Nothing is uploaded.

When to use this
Use this when a photo is the right picture but the wrong shape. A landscape shot for a profile needs a square. A product photo for a feed needs 4:5. A banner needs 16:9. The resize pages also crop, but they lock a pixel size such as 1080 and center the cut. This page keeps the cropped pixels at the size they already are, and you place the frame.
Each file has its own frame. The shape is shared, so a batch of photos can all become squares while you nudge each one. The frame starts in the middle. Drag it, or use the arrow keys, until faces and products sit inside.
JPG cannot store a clear background. If the source has empty pixels, a JPG fills them with white. Keep PNG when you still need those pixels clear. WebP can keep them too.
After the crop, resize if a site wants an exact pixel size, or compress if the file is still too heavy to send.
How to do it
- Drop one image or a batch. Files stay on this device.
- Pick a shape. Square, portrait, and wide frames are the usual ones.
- Drag the frame, or use the arrow keys, until the part you want is inside it.
- Crop, then download each file or a zip of the batch.
Tips
- The frame starts in the middle. Faces near the edge need a nudge.
- A photo that is already that shape is not cut.
- JPG fills clear pixels with white. Use PNG if you still need transparency.
- Quality around 0.92 is a good balance for JPG and WebP.
